Concrete Shortage? Arctic Spas can help when you want to install your Hot Tub or Swim Spa
I’m Christian Staples with Arctic Spas. If anyone has been trying to have concrete work done such as getting a patio poured for your hot tub, you will know that there is a concrete shortage out there, and if that isn’t bad enough, just like every other industry it seems, there is also a shortage for labor to finish the concrete. This has added up to some huge delays and increases in costs.
But you are in luck, we have two options for you so you can avoid the concrete woes of 2022 and beyond.
The first option is what is built into every Arctic Spa Custom and Classic Series spas which is our Forever Floor. Most nicer spas have a waterproof ABS plastic floor which is nice because it seals the floor of the hot tub. Arctic Spas takes it one step further by adding a structural floor made out of fiberglass. What does this mean? Well, if you were to stand the spas on their edge and give them a good punch with your fist, you would break through the ABS plastic floor. Do the same thing to the fiberglass Forever Floor, and you are on your way to the urgent care with a broken fist while the Forever Floor remains as nothing has happened to it. In hot tub terms, this means that you can place an Arctic Spa on level sold ground nothing more. Every other brand of hot tub, if you were to do this, you would void your warranty. Just read the small print.
The other option we have is called SmartDeck. These are plastic patio blocks that measure 2’ x 2’ and snap together. This means that in just a few minutes, you can snap together your “concrete pad” needed for your hot tub. This provides a great solid base for the hot tub and allows the water to drain through the seams.
So don’t freak out about the concrete shortages, order the right spa with the Forever Floor or add the SmartDeck.
